ARK Test Prep – Sacraments & Liturgy

These partner activities emphasize Catholic sacramental life and student-centered engagement with the Mass: younger students explore the Liturgy of the Word, Baptism, Eucharist, Confession, and sacramentals through videos and interactive slides, then describe sacramental actions in their own words and identify how sacramentals support worship. Upper elementary learners focus on the Liturgy of the Eucharist and the meaning of Confirmation, Holy Orders, and Marriage, connecting Jesus’ life to what happens at Mass and creating examples of sacramental purpose. Middle school students compare the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist, differentiate the roles of priests, deacons, and bishops, and identify participants and the graces each sacrament bestows. Throughout, students work in pairs on discussions, short-answer reflections, and drag-and-drop or hands-on tasks so teachers can observe and assess their understanding of Catholic beliefs and practices in real time.
