ARK Test Prep – Prayer

These partner activities center on Catholic prayer life and student practice. Students in grades 2–3 learn traditional prayers—the Rosary, the Lord’s Prayer, the Glory Be, and the Hail Mary—watch videos and read slides, explain why prayer matters in their own words, pray the Rosary together, and identify the meaning behind the words they say. In grades 4–5, learners study the Rosary’s four sets of mysteries, the Fall of Man, and the “battle of prayer,” identify common obstacles to prayer, and reflect on how prayer shapes our relationship with God. Middle school students examine the Lord’s Prayer, the Rosary, and other devotionals, describe different types of prayer and prayer aids, and demonstrate understanding through paired discussions, short-answer reflections, and interactive sorting activities so teachers can assess their grasp of Catholic prayer practices.
